Benzoin is a balsamic resin derived from the Styrax tree and has a number of spiritual and metaphysical uses. It is typically used in purification and protection magick. Benzoin Resin can also be used to soothe tension, dispel anger and irritability. Benzoin is generally considered to be a mental resin, helping to balance and restore peace within the emotions that relate to the mental body. Can also be used to promote generosity.
Mix with mugwort and burn to aid in divination practices.
What does it smell like?
The smell of benzoin resin incense is very distinctive. It has a sweet and rich scent. It has a warm, spicy aroma that blends well with florals and other incenses. When burned, it’s said to have a sweet vanilla-like scent.

Typically, one ounce will make 10-15 6-ounce cups of tea, depending on how strong you like it.
