Gate 19 – Wanting (Root Center)

• Location: The Root Center. Think of it as your internal pressure cooker,  constantly churning with the need for survival, security, and... touchy-feely goodness.
• Theme: Wanting, needing, craving... it's all happening here. You've got this primal urge to make sure your basic needs are met, and not just yours, but the needs of your tribe too. Full fridge? Check. Loving connections? Check. A sense of belonging that makes your soul sing? Triple check.
• How it plays in: This gate is the foundation of your cross. It's the driving force behind your desire to connect, to build community, and to create a safe haven for yourself and those you love. Basically, it's the reason you're not off living in a yurt in the middle of nowhere (unless, of course, that yurt is fully stocked with gourmet cheese and your tribe is right there with you). Oh, and it's also the reason you have "Princess and the Pea" level sensitivities.
• Shadow Side: Watch out for that over-giving tendency, bestie. You might find yourself bending over backwards to please others, hoping that they'll reciprocate with the love and affection you crave. Gate 33 – Privacy (Throat Center)

• Location: The Throat Center. This is where your voice comes out to play, but sometimes, it needs a little time to warm up first.
• Theme: Privacy, solitude, introspection... you need your alone time like a plant needs sunshine. Before you can share your wisdom with the world, you need to marinate in it, process it, and let it simmer in your soul for a while. You understand the power of vulnerability, and you know that some stories are best shared in hushed tones, in intimate settings, and only when the time is right.
